Broken Sword was created by William and Sam Barrett, a pair of nerds who had way too much free time. It was created whilst William was doing his masters in, “Public History and Heritage” at Swansea University and Sam was doing his foundation year of media at Solent University in Southampton.
They grew up learning to appreciate movies and TV shows watching the classic trilogies, “The Lord Of The Rings”, “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones”. this leading to a true appreciation of media in all forms, from comics and movies to music and tv shows.
They had been talking about pop culture for a while leading to debates about the stupidest things to do with what they enjoyed. This then led to these conversations being deemed broken sword conversations as they were sharp as all hell but severely lacking a point. The brothers then realised they wished to share these thoughts with the rest of the internet because well … you should be subject to this nonsense as well.
